Server Virtualization

Server virtualization allow many applications to run on one physical machine (host) instead of several separated ones. Thus in addition to the cost for hardware, there is reduction of costs for electricity, air conditioning, maintenance, etc. On the other hand the virtualization of data storage arrays allows existing resources to be used more efficiently by dynamically sharing the load capacity and employment among all available hardware.

This does not depend on the brand and model of the equipment.

Server virtualization allows hardware to be reserved several times in order to achieve maximum reliability, up-time and productivity. Modern technology allows natural resources to be allocated automatically and dynamically, based on predefined rules, depending on the instantaneous needs of each application. In the fully virtual platforms there are almost no unused resources, i.e there is no need for any server to be hoarded with processors, memory and hard disks for 2-3 years.

The direct customer benefits in terms of server virtualization technologies are:

  • Possibility of reducing the size of a data center;
  • Reduction of staff;
  • Drastically reducing maintenance costs;
  • Time saving in case of hardware problems and other negative incidents
